Walking with RouteFit

Walking route recommendations

RouteFit is designed for casual walkers, travellers and time-poor people who want a suitable nearby route without manually drawing one on a map.

Choose time or distance

A time target works well when the available window matters most. A distance target supports values from 1.0 to 30.0 kilometres in 0.1 kilometre increments.

Pick the route environment

  • Street routes prioritize connected street and road-adjacent walking networks.
  • Scenic routes prioritize mapped scenic and waterfront context where available.
  • Major parks and green spaces use verified mapped public paths rather than sending park boundaries to the routing provider.

Use effort separately

Low or High effort changes the preference for climbing and surface challenge. Effort does not replace the selected route environment or change the requested distance.

Check the route in context

Recommendations are estimates. Review the route shape, trade-offs, weather and daylight information, then check local signs and access during the walk.
